Chief Executive Officer

Anthony is the CEO of SoFi and serves on its board of directors. Before joining SoFi, he served as chief operating officer of Twitter since November 2016, and as its chief financial officer when joining the company in July 2014. Prior to Twitter, Anthony served for almost four years as co-head of global TMT investment banking at Goldman Sachs. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1999, was named partner in 2004, and served as the head of communications media and Internet equity research. Before returning to Goldman, Anthony spent almost three years as chief financial officer of the National Football League.

A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy, Anthony also holds a masters of business administration from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

Michelle is SoFi’s Chief Financial Officer. She joined SoFi from TPG Sixth Street Partners. Previously, Michelle spent 14 years at Goldman Sachs & Co., where most recently she was a Partner co-heading the Structured Finance business. She received her JD from Cornell Law School and her BA from the University of California at Los Angeles.

As Chief Marketing Officer, Lauren oversees SoFi’s brand and advertising initiatives. She joined SoFi from Intuit, where she led global corporate marketing, spearheading the delivery of the company’s first corporate brand strategy and campaign. Prior to Intuit, Lauren held marketing leadership positions at Procter & Gamble, achieving impressive results leading a number of household brands at different stages of growth and innovation.

Lauren holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.

General Counsel

Rob is responsible for managing all legal affairs for SoFi and its affiliate entities. Prior to joining SoFi, he served as a Principal in the Education and Litigation practice groups of the Washington, DC law firm of Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville (PPSV) where he represented financial institutions and post-secondary institutions on a wide variety of regulatory, litigation and transactional matters. Prior to PPSV, Rob served as General Counsel to Sallie Mae, a Fortune 300 company and the largest provider of education finance. Before his 16 year career with Sallie Mae, Rob served as a Partner in the Washington D.C. law firm of Cole Corette & Abrutyn specializing in corporate and securities litigation. He was named a top Washington D.C. corporate counsel in 2015.

Rob holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A from the University of Pennsylvania.

Tony Donohoe is the CTO of SoFi. Before joining SoFi, he served as CTO of Brand Expedia where he led a global team responsible for all consumer, mobile and supplier platforms. He oversaw a multi-year transformation to a cloud native architecture and integration of multiple acquisitions onto a single platform. Prior to Expedia, Tony was a Managing Director at JP Morgan where he built large scale consumer finance platforms and analytics applications. Tony brings a passion for building learning organizations and products that delight the customer. Tony holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from Dublin City University.

Aaron is SoFi’s Chief Risk Officer, responsible for the company’s risk, fraud, and credit management frameworks, as well as its credit risk and underwriting activities. Prior to SoFi, Aaron served as Chief Risk Officer – U.S. Retail Bank and Mortgage and Head of Global Regulatory Analytics for Citibank, NA. Aaron was previously Managing Director, Americas Risk Management at Toyota Financial Services, the world’s largest automotive lender. Earlier in his career, he held positions of increasing responsibility at GE Capital, Washington Mutual Bank, FSB, and Wachovia Bank, NA.

Aaron holds a BA in International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Anand Cavale is the Business Head of SoFi’s Consumer Lending businesses. Before joining SoFi, he served as the Managing Director and Business Head of Citi’s U.S. consumer lending businesses, helping navigate a changing technology landscape. Anand’s career at Citi spanned over 25 years across U.S. and Asia where he helped Citi be the premier provider of consumer payment solutions and grew the franchise through the introduction of several cutting edge cards products and services. He holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from St. John’s University, New York and a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Production Engineering from Bangalore University.

As Head of Product, Assaf oversees the Strategy and direction of SoFi’s suite of product offerings. Prior to SoFi, he founded and was Vice President of Amazon’s Alexa shopping group, creating a new market category in the burgeoning new world of voice assistants. Assaf had previously been a Vice President responsible for Amazon’s physical payments business. Prior to Amazon, he spent nearly seven years at Microsoft where most served as general manager of Skype after its acquisition, and as the general manager of identity, access, and security products.

Anna is SoFi’s Head of People, responsible for the company’s total talent strategy. Her career spans large, global organizations with fast-paced growth environments, and she has a breadth of experience building teams and business. Prior to SoFi, Anna led HR for Tesla’s EMEA region. She previously spent 14 years at Stryker, where she began her career in product operations and business unit leadership before she transitioned into several HR functions.

Anna holds a BA in Communications and an MBA from the University of Arizona.

John Gardner, CFA, is the Business Head, Invest & Advice at SoFi, where he’s responsible for the development for SoFi’s investment, insurance and advisory services platforms. Prior to SoFi, John was a Co-founder & CFO of LearnVest, a subscription based financial planning platform acquired by Northwestern Mutual in 2015. He also was a co-founder of Cabezon Investment Group, a Global Macro Hedge fund.

John graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from Lehigh University.

As Global Head of Operations, Rich leads SoFi’s teams handling reviewing and servicing, international operations as well as member communications. Prior to SoFi, he served as the Global Head of Operations & Technology for the consumer group of Citigroup from 2008 to 2013, responsible for supporting Citi Cards, the commercial group, the consumer lending group (mortgage), and the retail distribution banking group in 40 countries. Rich previously served as Chief Operating Officer for Citigroup’s North America consumer businesses and as COO for Citi’s cards business. He holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Sioux Falls.

Eugenia Gibbons joined SoFi in August 2018 and serves as the business head of SoFi Money. Prior to SoFi, Eugenia led global digital sales operations at BBVA, where she oversaw digital sales and marketing, as well as customer engagement. Prior to joining BBVA she spent nearly a decade at Bank of America, with previous roles at Liberty Mutual, Hexacta and Accenture.

Eugenia holds a B.Sc. from Universidad Nacional de Rosario in Argentina, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Anthony “Tony” Paquette is the head of New Business and International at SoFi, and is also responsible for Treasury, Balance Sheet Hedging and Regulatory Operations. Prior to joining SoFi, he was a Managing Director and the Global Head of Funding & Liability Management for J.P. Morgan Chase. He has over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, previously holding senior roles in Asset Liability Management (ALM) Strategy, and Interest Rate Portfolio Management in the Chief Investment Office at J.P. Morgan, and in Treasury & Corporate Investments at Bank of America. He began his career as a research analyst covering the Technology Services sector at Goldman Sachs.

Tony holds a B.A. from Brown University, with a double major in Business Economics and Organizational Behavior & Management, and is a CFA Charterholder.

Naga Parvatharajan

Naga is SoFi’s business unit leader of Credit Cards and head of Pricing. He joined SoFi from Goldman Sachs, where he led product strategy and strategic partnerships and was a founding member at Marcus, the company’s consumer banking division. Prior to Goldman he held roles in financial services at Discover and CapitalOne, and he currently acts as an angel investor to tech startups.

Naga holds a BS from the University of Madras, an MS from Purdue, and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Zeenat leads SoFi’s personal lending and home loans businesses. Zeenat joined SoFi from Capital One where she held several roles including Chief Customer Office of Financial Services, COO of the Home Loans business and, most recently, serving as Head of their Home Equity business. Prior to Capital One she spent 15 years at the Royal Bank of Canada in a variety of roles including President of the Auto and Personal Lending businesses, SVP of Risk operations and Head of Portfolio Management and Credit Strategy. Early in her career, Zeenat worked at FICO and Experian, leading credit scoring and strategy development initiatives for financial institutions and credit bureaus.

Zeenat holds an MBA from Duke University, a Master of Science degree in Operations Research from Stanford University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Analysis from the University of Miami. She serves on the Board of the Dallas Women’s Foundation.

Prior to SoFi, Bill was the President, CFO and Treasurer of GSV Capital Corp, a late-stage publicly traded venture capital fund. Prior to joining GSV, Bill spent nearly two decades at J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, UBS and Fortress Investment Group. Bill received a BS in Accounting from Villanova University and is a CFA charterholder.

Prior to joining SoFi, she was the Chief Marketing Officer of Zynga, as well as several consumer technology companies, including telemedicine leader Doctor On Demand. Jennifer spent almost a decade in leadership positions at The Clorox Company, running well-known household-name brands. She began her career in consulting covering consumer and media at Arthur Andersen

Jennifer holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from the University of California, Berkeley. She is a licensed CPA.

Prior to joining SoFi, Alexander served as a Vice President and Head of Machine Learning Solutions and Global Line Modeling at American Express. Alexander was previously an Associate Professor at New York University specializing in innovative and scalable applications of data science and machine learning.

Alexander holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mathematics from Case Western Reserve University and Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Biomedical Informatics (Machine Learning) from Vanderbilt University.

Ryan Feeney joined SoFi in June 2019, and serves as the head of the capital markets team. Prior to joining, Ryan spent 2+ years at Brevan Howard as a Trader in the Brevan Howard Securitized Products Fund, where he focused primarily on asset-backed securities, including student and personal loans, as well as non-agency residential and commercial mortgages. Ryan also spent 7 years at Goldman Sachs and 6 years at Morgan Stanley in trading and asset management roles with a focus on a variety of mortgage and other consumer-related structured products.

Ryan graduated from Princeton University with a BA in Economics and a Certificate in Finance.

Manages his own firm, Thompson Hutton LLC, which invests in venture capital and private equity transactions focused on financial services and associated information technology. Former CEO of White Mountains Re Group and has served as Board member of four major companies, including three public companies. Tom received an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School as well as an MS in Mechanical Engineering and BA in Economics from Stanford University.

Steven Freiberg

Steven Freiberg is a long term veteran of the financial services sector, having held multiple positions at Citigroup (NYSE:C) over a 30 year period including serving as the Co-Chairman and CEO of Citigroup’s Global Consumer Group, and most recently as the CEO of E*TRADE Financial Corporation (NASDAQ:ETFC) where he led the company back to profitability in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis. He is the founder of Grand Vista Partners, the Freiberg Family Investment Office, a Board member of Fair Square Financial, MasterCard (NYSE:MA), OANDA, Purchasing Power, and Regional Management (NYSE:RM), and a senior advisor to several companies including The Boston Consulting Group and Verisk Analytics (NASDAQ:VRSK). Freiberg holds a BS in Finance as well as an MBA in Finance from Hofstra University.

Ahmed Al-Hammadi

Ahmed is the Head of Active Investments department for the Qatar Investment Authority. He oversees QIA’s direct sector teams as well as fund investments in the Equity, Fixed Income, Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Real Estate asset classes. Prior to joining QIA, Ahmed worked at EFG-Hermes a regional asset manager and before that at consulting firm Booz & Co. advising financial services clients on strategy, private equity investment opportunities, and organization structures. Ahmed is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and has obtained his MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Mike Bingle

Mike Bingle is a Managing Partner and Managing Director at Silver Lake. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Ancestry.com, Fanatics, Gartner (NYSE: IT), and SolarWinds. Bingle has been a private equity investor for over 20 years, and he has invested in numerous financial technology companies, including having served as a Director of: TD Ameritrade (NYSE: AMTD), Datek Online Holdings, Inc., Interactive Data Corporation, IPC Systems, Instinet, Mercury Payment Systems, and Virtu Financial (NASDAQ: VIRT). Prior to joining Silver Lake, Bingle was a principal at Apollo Management; he also worked in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. Bingle holds a BSE in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University.

David W. Bonanno

Mr. Bonanno is a Managing Director at Third Point LLC where he is responsible for private and special situation investment opportunities across a broad range of industries including Fintech, financial services, telecommunications, energy and real estate. Mr. Bonanno also serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Far Point Acquisition Corp (NYSE: FPAC), a $630 million specialty purpose acquisition company focused on Financial Technology. Additionally, Mr. Bonanno is the primary investment professional responsible for the Third Point Hellenic Recovery Fund L.P., a $750 million long term investment vehicle exclusively dedicated to illiquid growth investments in Southern Europe. Mr. Bonanno currently serves as a director of Social Finance, Inc. (SoFi), Energean Oil & Gas PLC (LSE: ENOG), Far Point Acquisition Corp (NYSE: FPAC) and Hellenic Bank PCL (CSE: HB). Prior to joining Third Point LLC, Mr. Bonanno was an associate at Cerberus Capital Management and an analyst at Rothschild. Mr. Bonanno graduated cum laude from Harvard University in 2004 with an A.B. in Psychology.

Joe Chen

Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Renren Inc. (NYSE: RENN). Joe Chen holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Delaware, a Master’s degree in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Pete Hartigan

Pete Hartigan is a co-founder & Managing Partner for Marketplace Funds, a specialist fund focused on fintech and digital health communities. Prior, Pete assisted the SoFi founders from pre-incorporation to serving as its original Chief Community Officer. Pete currently serves on the boards of SoFi, Neighborly, Conventus and Happify, and as a board observer at Karmic and Harvest Exchange. Pete has earned FINRA Series 7, 62 and 63 licenses. He has an MBA from Stanford University (Arbuckle Award) and earned degrees in Psychology & Philosophy from Duke University, summa cum laude & Phi Beta Kappa. In 1993, USA Today picked Pete as one of their Top 20 College Students in the United States.

Robert L. Joss AC

Robert A. Joss AC, whose career in finance and economic policy spans five decades, is currently the Philip H. Knight Professor and Dean, Emeritus of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, having served as the school’s Dean from 1999 through 2009. Prior to Stanford, he was chief executive officer of Westpac Banking Corporation (NYSE:WBK), one of Australia’s largest banks. Before Westpac, Joss spent 22 years with Wells Fargo, holding a variety of positions including Vice Chairman for his last seven years. He is currently a Board member of Makena Capital and C.M. Capital, and a past board member of Agilent Technologies, Bechtel Group, Citigroup, SRI, and Wells Fargo. Joss holds a BA in Economics from the University of Washington, and an MBA and Ph.D. from Stanford University.

Clara Liang

Ms. Liang is Vice President and General Manager at Airbnb, responsible for the luxury travel and professional hosting business segments. Since joining Airbnb in 2016, she has also led product management for community support, payments, trust and infrastructure. Prior to Airbnb, Ms. Liang served as Chief Product Officer at Jive Software and spent 11 years at IBM in a number of technology and professional services roles. Ms. Liang holds a BS in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University and an MS in Technology Commercialization from UT Austin.

Alok Sama

Alok Sama is President & CFO of SoftBank Group International (“SBGI”) where he is responsible for the core finance activities as well as proprietary investments and investor relations. He is also responsible for Corporate Development and M&A for SoftBank Group. Alok has over 30 years of investment banking, capital market and investment experience. Previously he was a senior Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, leading the firm’s communications practice in Europe and the TMT practice in the Asia-Pacific region. He also co-founded Baer Capital Partners, an alternative asset management firm. Alok is currently a Director of ARM Holdings, Fortress Investment Group, SoftBank Group Capital, SoFi, SoftBank Energy, Brightstar Corp and Baer Capital Partners. He graduated (with Distinction) from The Wharton School with an MBA in Finance, and holds a BA(Honors)in Mathematics from St. Stephen’s college.

Magdalena Yeşil

Magdalena Yeşil is a founder, entrepreneur, and venture capitalist of many of the world’s top technology companies, including Salesforce, where she was the first investor and founding board member. She is a former general partner at U.S. Venture Partners, where she oversaw investments in more than thirty early-stage companies and served on the boards of many. A technology pioneer, Ms. Yeşil founded three of the first companies dedicated to commercializing Internet access, e-commerce infrastructure, and electronic payments. UUnet, CyberCash, and MarketPay earned her the Entrepreneur of the Year title from Red Herring in 1997. She is a founder of Broadway Angels, a group of female venture capitalists and angel investors. Ms. Yeşil is currently working on her fourth startup, DriveInformed, a technology company bringing trust and transparency to the auto finance industry. She holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering, both from Stanford University.
