Mike Cagney

CEO, Chairman & Co-Founder

As the CEO, Chairman and co-founder of SoFi, Mike Cagney leads corporate strategy and development at SoFi—bringing decades of experience in the financial industry to his leadership of the company. He’s held a Senior Vice President role at Wells Fargo, where he was head trader for the proprietary trading and financial products group. Mike is also co-founder and a managing member of Cabezon Investment Group, a global macro hedge fund, in addition to serving as a non-executive Chairman of ReFlow. Before Cabezon, Mike founded, was CEO and then Vice Chairman and Chief Architect, of Finaplex, a leader in wealth management software that was sold to Broadridge (NYSE: BR).

While overseeing SoFi’s overall direction, Mike makes a daily point to interact with SoFi’s member base, now more than 243,000 members. In addition to reading and responding to member feedback, he hosts SoFi member dinners at his San Francisco home to better know our customers and understand their financial goals.

Mike holds an M.S., Management degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was a Sloan Fellow. He also holds a MS in applied economics from UC Santa Cruz.

Nino Fanlo

CFO, President

Nino brings over 30 years of experience in financial services and capital markets. Nino was the former CEO of KKR Financial (NYSE: KFN) and Executive Vice President and Treasurer of Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFC). Before his nine years at WFC, Nino was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs responsible for the Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities desk. Nino also had prior investment banking and asset management roles at Credit Suisse, Metropolitan Life and Australian Capital Equity, where he focused on commercial real estate fixed income assets as well as capital raising and funding activities.

Nino holds a BA degree in economics from Haverford College in Pennsylvania.

Joanne Bradford

Chief Operating Officer

As COO, Joanne oversees SoFi’s consumer-facing functions including marketing, business development, partnerships, and member services. Bradford joined SoFi from Pinterest, where she led global commercial and content partnerships, platform adoption and monetization efforts. Bradford has held executive leadership positions at The San Francisco Chronicle, Demand Media, Yahoo!, Microsoft and BusinessWeek. Throughout her career, she’s had significant experience leading product marketing, business development and programming, as well as building global sales and marketing teams.

Bradford serves on the board of CARE, which provides aid to the poor around the world. She is a founding advisor to Lean In. Joanne has a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in advertising from San Diego State University.

General Counsel

Rob is responsible for managing all legal affairs for SoFi and its affiliate entities. Prior to joining SoFi, he served as a Principal in the Education and Litigation practice groups of the Washington, DC law firm of Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville (PPSV) where he represented financial institutions and post-secondary institutions on a wide variety of regulatory, litigation and transactional matters. Prior to PPSV, Rob served as General Counsel to Sallie Mae, a Fortune 300 company and the largest provider of education finance. Before his 16 year career with Sallie Mae, Rob served as a Partner in the Washington D.C. law firm of Cole Corette & Abrutyn specializing in corporate and securities litigation. He was named a top Washington D.C. corporate counsel in 2015.

Rob holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A from the University of Pennsylvania.

Yassir Abousselham is SoFi’s Chief Information Security Officer. In that capacity, he is responsible for SoFi’s information security, privacy and technical compliance. Yassir joined SoFi in 2016 from Google, where he founded the Corporate Data Security and Payments Security programs. Prior to Google, he had a successful consulting career at Ernst & Young, where he helped Fortune 500 companies build information security organizations, secure infrastructure and achieve regulatory compliance.

Yassir holds a B.A. in Business Administration and an M.S. in Computer Information Systems. He has two U.S. patents in trusted network communication.

Chief Risk Officer

Kevin Moss is SoFi’s Chief Risk Officer and is responsible for helping the company improve its risk position; his work includes improving SoFi’s credit underwriting strategies, reducing operational risk and complexity, and working to ensure clear and compliant customer value propositions in partnership with our legal and compliance department. In his role, he’ll also continue to build on the strong oversight and governance processes in place today, in addition to strengthening third party risk management oversight. Most recently, Kevin was Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer responsible for managing Credit, Compliance, and Operating Risk for the Wells Fargo Consumer Lending Group. Kevin joined Wells Fargo in 1998, and prior to being appointed chief risk officer, he was the business manager for the National Home Equity Group and the chief credit officer for the Home and Consumer Finance Group.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from George Washington University and a Master’s from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

Andrea Blankmeyer

As SoFi’s Vice President of Finance and Corporate Development, Andrea Blankmeyer is responsible for treasury and liquidity management, FP&A, corporate development, and institutional investor relations. She’s been with SoFi since June 2015, when she joined the company as Director of Strategy and Business Operations. Before SoFi, Andrea was at the private equity firm Hellman & Friedman, where she focused on the financial services and technology sectors. Previously, she worked as a consultant at Bain & Company in New York.

Andrea graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Economics and East Asian Studies from Harvard University.

Meg leads SoFi’s brand marketing, including traditional and digital advertising as well as social and content marketing. Before joining SoFi, Meg led the Social Strategy discipline at AKQA, running social global programming for brands like Visa and Levis Strauss. Prior to that, she was the VP of Brand Marketing at the San Francisco Chronicle/SFGate. Previously, Meg spent more than seven years in New York leading social and brand strategies for Unilever, Sears-Kmart, Diageo and Chase. She began her career as a publicist at Random House, Inc.

Meg is a graduate of Washington & Lee University with a Bachelor’s degree in English and Business Administration.

Paul is responsible for our loan sale, securitization, and financing activities. Paul was the former Head of Products and Co-Founder at MeasureOne, a student lending focused data and analytics firm offering portfolio management, servicing oversight, and analytics services. Prior to MeasureOne, Paul focused on developing risk solutions for the non-agency mortgage market at LoanPerformance, now CoreLogic (NYSE: CLGX).

Paul holds a BA in Economics and Accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles.

John Foley is President of SoFi Wealth, an investment management service guided by experts and powered by technology. John has more than 30 years of experience creating and marketing financial services—he has held various investment advisory and product roles at Charles Schwab, eTrade, and Intuit. He has FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 certifications and is a Certified Financial PlannerTM. John holds an MBA from San Francisco State University and a BA from the University of Scranton.

John is responsible for leading the internal audit function at SoFi. Prior to joining SoFi, John had an eighteen year career with Freddie Mac in a variety of management positions. He left Freddie Mac as Vice President of Investments and Capital Markets, where he oversaw operations, controls, budget and administration for the company’s several hundred billion dollar investment portfolio. Earlier in his career John worked in both public accounting and in internal audit at First Virginia Bank.

John is a CPA and holds an MBA from George Mason University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Scranton. From 2008 – 2013 he was a member of the Board of Directors for the Arlington (VA) Partnership for Affordable Housing.

Ashish Jain joined SoFi in May 2016 and serves as Senior Vice President of Capital Solutions. He is responsible for distribution, loan sales, strategic partnerships, and growing SoFi’s institutional outreach. Prior to SoFi, Ashish worked at Deutsche Bank for 13 years. Most recently, he was Managing Director and US Head of Securitized Product Sales, a role he held for 4 years and in which he interacted with some of the world’s largest institutional investors about their investment strategies and portfolios. He began his career in Rates Sales in 2004.

Ashish received a BS in Finance from Carnegie Mellon University in 2003 and he has served as a member of the Carnegie Mellon Tepper Alumni Board.

Prior to SoFi, Dan spent twelve years at Standard Chartered Bank leading Enterprise Sales and Product Development across London, Singapore and Shanghai.

Dan holds an M.S., Management degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he was a Sloan Fellow. He also holds a BA in Business Economics from University of Durham in England.

Ms. McIntosh’s responsibilities involved recruiting, developing and managing inbound and outbound mortgage sales teams in a call center environment.

Rob Meck is the Senior Vice President of Operations at SoFi, overseeing loan review, funding and servicing, international operations as well as all member communications. Rob brings more than 20 years of operational experience to the role. Most recently, he was President and CEO of Premiere Credit of North America, where he led the company’s transition from small business to large company, increasing headcount to over 700 employees significantly increasing revenue in just five years. Prior, Rob was a Senior Vice President at Sallie Mae and President and Chief Operating Officer of Sallie Mae’s Asset Performance Group, a holding company of acquired top-performing accounts receivable management companies. His previous experience also includes leadership roles at GC Services, one of the largest U.S.-based 3rd party, 1st party and call center services firms, and USA Group.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Rhetoric and Communications from University of Pittsburgh.

Tony Morosini is responsible for the development of our products. He brings a wealth of FinTech experience to the company, having held senior technology and product management positions at companies such as Visa, Accenture, and Sapient among others. His expertise is bringing innovation and emerging technology to the enterprise, while creating practical solutions to real world business problems.

Tony holds a BS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Virginia Tech.

Jim Prosser leads SoFi’s communications and policy efforts. Prior to SoFi, Jim ran corporate, revenue, and policy communications at Twitter, guiding the company’s strategy through massive business growth, complex global policy issues, and closely-watched corporate moves including its IPO in 2013. Previously, he managed corporate communications at Google with a focus on finance and intellectual property issues. Jim holds a Bachelors degree in government from the University of Virginia.

Before joining SoFi, Brad led integrated marketing teams at TenX (formerly Auction.com) and Fuze, where he was responsible for Brand, Acquisition, Partnerships and Product Marketing. Prior to that, he spent 8 years at Experian leading the marketing, acquisition and business development teams for the Freecreditreport.com/Freecreditscore.com brands in addition to building out two new products: Protectmyid.com and Creditchecktotal.com.

Michael Tannenbaum is SoFi’s Chief Revenue Officer, responsible for driving successful execution and growth across SoFi’s core lending products: Student Loan Refinancing, Personal Loans and Mortgages. Prior to his current role, he served as SVP of Mortgage and earlier, VP of Finance. Michael joined SoFi in 2014 and was involved in loan sale structuring and execution within the Capital Markets group. Previously he worked as an associate at private equity firm Hellman & Friedman in San Francisco with a focus on the financial services and technology sectors. Michael began his professional career as an analyst in the Financial Institutions Investment Banking group at J.P. Morgan in New York and at New Pacific Consulting (Parthenon Group) in Shanghai.

Michael graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. degree from Columbia University.

Brett Wayn is leading SoFi’s Content and Syndication. Before joining SoFi, Brett worked in a variety of leadership roles in consumer internet product organizations; most recently, he was VP of Flickr at Yahoo. Prior to that, he worked as the GM of Global Content at Microsoft (MSN International). He also held CEO and COO roles with America Online’s joint ventures in Australia and Japan, and he has consulted to APN News and Media and Hearst Newspapers on their digital publishing businesses. He began his career as a medical doctor, before transitioning to television production and then digital media.

He is a honors graduate of the University of Sydney Medical School.

Primary investment professional at Third Point focused on financial service institutions and credit opportunities globally. David is also the primary investment professional responsible for the Third Point Hellenic Recovery Fund L.P., a $750mm private equity style vehicle exclusively dedicated to equity investments in Greece and Cyprus. Previously held roles in the Private Equity Group at Cerberus Capital Management, L.P and in the Restructuring and Reorganization Advisory Group at Rothschild Inc. David graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a B.A. in Psychology.

He serves on the Boards of numerous DCM portfolio companies. David received an MBA from Stanford University and a BA in Economics and East Asian Studies from Brown University.

Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Renren Inc. (NYSE: RENN). Joe Chen holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Delaware, a Master’s degree in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Tom Hutton

Manages his own firm, Thompson Hutton LLC, which invests in venture capital and private equity transactions focused on financial services and associated information technology. Former CEO of White Mountains Re Group and has served as Board member of four major companies, including three public companies. Tom received an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School as well as an MS in Mechanical Engineering and BA in Economics from Stanford University.

David Thevenon

David Thevenon joined SoftBank Group International in November 2014, as a managing director. In this role, he initiates and manages some of SoftBank’s largest global investments. Before joining SoftBank, Mr. Thevenon had a long tenure at Google, where he led global partnerships for the Android platform and was in charge of all Google product-related business development outside of the US. Prior to Google, Mr. Thevenon was an executive of strategic partnerships at T-Mobile, and worked in finance at Dell, Fujitsu and Elf-Atochem. He earned a MA in Business from ESCEM.
