South Korea’s Green Labs Eyes Global Expansion Amid New Funding for Agtech Firm

Founded in 2017, Green Labs aims to address global food shortages by digitizing the entire process from the growth of crops all the way through to market delivery. One of its apps, “Farm Morning,” uses artificial intelligence to give farmers a deeper understanding of a crop’s lifecycle.

This “smart farming” involving the use of AI, robotics, and associated software is a big part of the Seoul-based firm’s business. Ultimately, executives say they will be able to speed up global expansion with this new funding. Green Labs also plans to hire more employees and make a number of acquisitions as well.
