Recently, the SoFi team noticed that SoFi members who had paid off their student loans started celebrating their debt payoff. Popping champagne, baking cakes—the posts were coming in almost daily.
We were so inspired by their triumph over debt we started sending them surprises—sweatshirts, sunglasses, champagne glasses, and so on.

That’s when we dreamed up how we could pull off the craziest, wildest, most amazing debt payoff celebration for one of our amazing members in honor of graduation season. We’re talking glam squads. An entire marching band. An aerialist twirling on a ribbon.
Now the only questions was, who should we pick to give it to? That’s when we saw a post from Candice, a mom who had paid off her SoFi loan in less than two years. After one heartfelt conversation, we unanimously decided she would be our surprise student loan graduate. She cried, we cried—we can’t stop watching and reliving the emotions inspired by Candice’s incredible debt payoff. It’s the reason why we SoFi: to help people reach their goals sooner.
