As an alternative to Direct Deposit, SoFi members with Qualifying Deposits can earn 3.80% APY on savings balances (including Vaults) and 0.50% APY on checking balances. Qualifying Deposits means one or more deposits that, in the aggregate, are equal to or greater than $5,000 to an account holder’s SoFi Checking and Savings account (“Qualifying Deposits”) during a 30-day Evaluation Period (as defined below). SoFi Bank shall, in its sole discretion, assess each account holder’s Eligible Direct Deposit activity and Qualifying Deposits throughout each 30-Day Evaluation Period to determine the applicability of rates and may request additional documentation for verification of eligibility. The 30-Day Evaluation Period refers to the “Start Date” and “End Date” set forth on the APY Details page of your account, which comprises a period of 30 calendar days (the “30-Day Evaluation Period”). You can access the APY Details page at any time by logging into your SoFi account on the SoFi mobile app or SoFi website and selecting either (i) Banking > Savings > Current APY or (ii) Banking > Checking > Current APY. Upon receiving an Eligible Direct Deposit or receipt of $5,000 in Qualifying Deposits to your account, you will begin earning 3.80% APY on savings balances (including Vaults) and 0.50% on checking balances on or before the following calendar day. You will continue to earn these APYs for (i) the remainder of the current 30-Day Evaluation Period and through the end of the subsequent 30-Day Evaluation Period and (ii) any following 30-day Evaluation Periods during which SoFi Bank determines you to have Eligible Direct Deposit activity or $5,000 in Qualifying Deposits without interruption.
SoFi Bank reserves the right to grant a grace period to account holders following a change in Eligible Direct Deposit activity or Qualifying Deposits activity before adjusting rates. If SoFi Bank grants you a grace period, the dates for such grace period will be reflected on the APY Details page of your account. If SoFi Bank determines that you did not have Eligible Direct Deposit activity or $5,000 in Qualifying Deposits during the current 30-day Evaluation Period and, if applicable, the grace period, then you will begin earning the rates earned by account holders without either Eligible Direct Deposit or Qualifying Deposits until SoFi Bank recognizes Eligible Direct Deposit activity or receives $5,000 in Qualifying Deposits in a subsequent 30-Day Evaluation Period. 4Student Loan Refinancing Discount: To be eligible to receive an additional (0.125%) interest rate reduction on your Student Loan Refinancing (your “”Loan””) for enrolling in SoFi Plus, you must enroll in SoFi Plus within 30 days of Loan funding, either by receiving an Eligible Direct Deposit to your SoFi Checking and Savings account, or by paying the SoFi Plus Subscription Fee. Once eligible, you will receive this discount during periods in which you have received Eligible Direct Deposit to your SoFi Checking and Savings Account, or during periods in which SoFi successfully receives payment of the SoFi Plus Subscription Fee. This discount lowers your interest rate but does not change the amount of your regular monthly payment. 5$10 subscription fee: Subscribers are billed every 30 calendar days based on the initial date of subscription.
Credit card cash back rewards boost: Members who meet the eligibility criteria shall earn a 10% boost on cash back rewards rates for all eligible purchases made with a SoFi Credit Card (the “Promotion”). A 10% boost means that a 10% multiplier shall be applied to existing cash back rewards rates (e.g., a purchase previously earning 100 rewards points would now earn 110 with the promotion). For purposes of calculating the 10% boost on cash back rewards points, each transaction shall be rounded to the nearest dollar, and fractional points shall be rounded to the nearest whole point. The 10% boost shall not apply to (i) transactions that are not eligible for cash back rewards points, including: fees or interest charges, balance transfers or cash advances, purchase of traveler’s checks or other cash equivalents, purchase or reloading of prepaid cards, or other quasi-cash transactions; or (ii) courtesy rewards points that are manually awarded. In certain cases, it may take up to 90 days for your Eligible Direct Deposit to be recognized, after which you will begin earning the 10% boost on cash back rewards. Promotion Period: The Promotion will begin on 4/1/24 at 1:00 PM ET. SoFi reserves the right to terminate or make changes to this Promotion at any time.
Eligible Participants: All new and existing SoFi Credit Card members who successfully enroll in SoFi Plus during the Promotion Period are eligible for this Promotion. In order to enroll in SoFi Plus and to continue to receive the 10% boost, you must either (i) receive Eligible Direct Deposit during each 30-Day Evaluation Period or (ii) pay the SoFi Plus Subscription Fee every 30 days, as detailed in the SoFi Plus Terms and Conditions. A member shall not earn the 10% boost under this Promotion if they are currently earning 3% cash back rewards points under the 3% Cash Back Rewards Promotion. 2x rewards points on qualifying activity: SoFi Plus members can earn double the rewards points as stated in the “Ways to earn” section of the Membership & Rewards Center for qualifying earning activities during periods in which the SoFi Plus member meets the SoFi Plus eligibility criteria. The qualifying earning activities exclude the following: Credit or Debit card spend paid in rewards points, welcome bonuses paid in rewards points (including any referral bonuses paid in rewards points), and select promotions with bonuses paid in rewards points. The specific number of rewards points is subject to change at any time and can be found in the “Ways to earn” section of the Membership & Rewards Center.
1% match on recurring SoFi Invest® deposits: You must be a SoFi Plus member at the time a recurring deposit is received into your SoFi Invest® account in order to receive this 1% match benefit. “Recurring deposits” refer to ACH transfers scheduled with a frequency of weekly, every two weeks, or monthly into either your Active SoFi Invest® account or your SoFi Wealth Automated Investing account. Regular deposits set up from your SoFi Checking & Savings account using Autopilot are eligible for the bonus. One-time transfers are excluded from the bonus. If funds are withdrawn and later redeposited manually into your SoFi Invest® account, the manual deposit will not be eligible for the bonus. Offer can be combined with SoFi Invest 1% IRA match.

Bonus amounts are calculated on the total net recurring inflows (incoming recurring ACH transfers less outgoing transfers) per calendar month. For example, if you have a recurring Invest deposit of $1,000 on 11/4/2024 and withdraw $500 on 11/15/2024 and make no other deposits or withdrawals to your SoFi Invest® account for the month, you will earn 500 rewards points, equal to 1% of $500 net monthly inflows. If you lose SoFi Plus eligibility at any point throughout the month, you will earn the 1% match only on recurring deposits received while you were a Plus member. All withdrawals in the calendar month (regardless of Plus status) will count against your bonus. Eligibility Period: Funds must remain in your SoFi Invest® account for two years to be eligible for the bonus. If the deposit is removed prior to the end of the two-year Eligibility Period, SoFi, at its discretion may remove the corresponding proportion of the 1% Match from the customer’s account. For instance, if $1,000 was deposited receiving a $10 rewards points match and $500 was withdrawn in a subsequent month, SoFi may remove $5 in rewards points from the bonus. When you use your SoFi Credit Card to make a purchase on the SoFi Travel Portal, you will earn a number of rewards points equal to 3% of the total amount you spend on the SoFi Travel Portal. Members can save up to 10% or more on eligible bookings.

You must book the travel on SoFi’s Travel Portal reached directly through a link on the SoFi website or mobile application. Travel booked directly on Expedia’s website or app, or any other site operated or powered by Expedia is not eligible.

Changes to your bookings will affect the rewards points balance for the purchase.
Any canceled bookings or fraud will cause rewards points to be rescinded.
Rewards points can be delayed by up to 7 business days after a transaction posts on members’ SoFi Credit Card ledger.
SoFi reserves the right to withhold rewards points for suspected fraud, misuse, or suspicious activities.
Elevated Earn on SoFi Travel: SoFi Plus members earn 3% cash back in rewards points on hotel bookings through SoFi Travel (“Elevated Earn”). All terms and conditions applicable to the use of SoFi Member Rewards apply. To learn more about SoFi Member Rewards, please see the Rewards page. Rewards points will be awarded within 60 days of travel completion. If you do not see your rewards points after 60 days of travel completion, please see our help center or contact us at 855-456-7634. Bookings made on non-hotel lines of business (e.g., air, car, activities) are not eligible for the Elevated Earn. When you elect to redeem rewards points toward active SoFi accounts, including but not limited to, your SoFi Checking or Savings account, SoFi Money® account, SoFi Active Invest account, SoFi Automated Invest account, SoFi Credit Card account, SoFi Personal Loan, Private Student Loan, Student Loan Refinance, or toward SoFi Travel purchases, your rewards points will redeem at a rate of 1 cent per every point. SoFi reserves the right to exclude any member from participating in the SoFi Member Rewards Program for any reason, including suspected fraud, misuse, or if suspicious activities are observed. SoFi also reserves the right to stop or make changes to this Program at any time.
Mortgage Loan Discount: SoFi offers a one-time standard member discount on loans originated by SoFi Bank of $500 off the standard $1,495 origination fee for a home purchase or refinance mortgage and $200 off the $1,295 origination fee for home equity loan or line of credit. To be eligible for the discount, a person must be a registered SoFi member at the time the home loan application is approved (indicated as “final approval”), and the applicant must have a current or prior SoFi Personal Loan, Student Loan, SoFi Money, or SoFi Checking and Savings account with an account balance greater than $0, or be a SoFi Invest account holder with a balance greater than $10,000. Based on regulatory requirements, the name of the origination fee may vary in certain states.
In addition to the standard SoFi member discount, SoFi Plus members are also eligible for an additional one-time discount on loans originated by SoFi Bank of $500 off the standard origination fee for a home purchase or refinance mortgage. To be eligible for the SoFi Plus member discount, the member must receive Eligible Direct Deposit (defined below and when recognized by SoFi) into their SoFi Checking and Savings account or pay the SoFi Plus Subscription Fee, at or before the time their home loan application is approved (indicated as “final approval”). Eligible Direct Deposit means a recurring deposit of regular income to an account holder’s SoFi Checking or Savings account, including payroll, pension, or government benefit payments (e.g., Social Security), made by the account holder’s employer, payroll or benefits provider or government agency (“Eligible Direct Deposit”) via the Automated Clearing House (“ACH”) Network during a 30-Day Evaluation Period (as defined below). Although we do our best to recognize all Eligible Direct Deposits, a small number of employers, payroll providers, benefits providers, or government agencies do not designate payments as direct deposit. To ensure you’re receiving the discount on SoFi home loan closing, we encourage you to check your SoFi Plus status in the Membership & Rewards Center the day after your Eligible Direct Deposit arrives. If your SoFi Plus status is not reflected in the Membership & Rewards Center, contact us at 855-456-7634 with the details of your Eligible Direct Deposit. As long as SoFi Bank can validate those details, you will start receiving the discount on SoFi home loan closing from the date you contact SoFi for the rest of the current 30-Day Evaluation Period. You will also be eligible for the discount on SoFi home loan closing on future Eligible Direct Deposits, as long as SoFi Bank can validate them. Deposits that are not from an employer, payroll or benefits provider, or government agency, including but not limited to check deposits, peer-to-peer transfers (e.g., transfers from PayPal, Venmo, etc.), merchant transactions (e.g., transactions from PayPal, Stripe, Square, etc.), and bank ACH funds transfers and wire transfers from external accounts, or are non-recurring in nature (e.g., IRS tax refunds), do not constitute Eligible Direct Deposit activity. SoFi Bank shall, in its sole discretion, assess each account holder’s Eligible Direct Deposit activity to determine eligibility and may require additional documentation to complete this verification. The 30-Day Evaluation Period refers to the “Start Date” and “End Date” set forth on the APY Details page of your account, which comprises a period of 30 calendar days (the “30-Day Evaluation Period”). You can access the APY Details page at any time by logging into your SoFi account on the SoFi mobile app or SoFi website and selecting either (i) Banking > Savings > Current APY or (ii) Banking > Checking > Current APY. SoFi Plus member benefits will be lost during periods in which the customer has turned off Eligible Direct Deposit into their account. If you are a joint account holder of a SoFi Checking and Savings account and either you or your joint account holder receives Eligible Direct Deposit into your SoFi Checking and Savings account, then you will be eligible for all SoFi Plus benefits, including on accounts you hold in your own name.

Discounts are not available on products or in states where no origination fee is assessed including Texas and VA loans.
The Discounts described above are only available for new loans of a different type from loans previously or currently held by the member. For example, a person with an existing or prior SoFi mortgage or home equity loan or line of credit is not eligible to receive the Discount on another first-lien or second-lien loan.
