Ethereum Classic (ETC) is a continuation of the original Ethereum blockchain's state following Ethereum's fork in June 2016. Ethereum and ETC shared their blockchain history prior to the fork, but are now distinct projects and assets with different goals and principles. ETC has a focus on "Internet of Things" applications.
