Flights Are Getting Cheaper Again

If you haven’t booked your flights for the holidays yet, you might want to get on it while major airlines are offering their cheapest ticket prices in months.

Domestic flight prices around Thanksgiving and Christmas have come down, and international travel is also getting cheaper.

What’s Behind the Price Cuts?

Industry experts aren’t entirely sure why prices are dropping. It’s especially strange as the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend is expected to be the busiest travel weekend ever, with some 30 million people expected to fly.

Aside from holiday travel, which always tends to be busy, demand for flights has come down. The post-pandemic travel boom has also slowed down, leaving some airlines and destinations with too many flights. And slashing ticket prices is a way to fill up those planes.
