NiSource, Inc. is a holding company, which engages in the provision of energy solutions. It operates through the Columbia Operations and NIPSCO Operations segments. The Columbia Operations segment aggregates the results of the fully regulated and wholly owned subsidiaries of NiSource Gas Distribution Group, Inc. The NIPSCO Operations segment includes the results of NIPSCO Holdings I and its majority-owned subsidiaries, including NIPSCO, which has fully regulated gas and electric operations in northern Indiana. The company was founded in 1987 and is headquartered in Merrillville, IN.
